Greenpeace Limited (hereafter “Greenpeace”) Challenge Event Terms and Conditions.
By creating a Greenpeace fundraising page, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. Event
1.1 For safeguarding reasons, under-18s are not allowed to register for the event or set up their own fundraising page, or join the Facebook Group
1.2 For the protection of young people, any sharing of images or content on our Facebook group or Funraisin fundraising pages, which includes children, must be overseen and approved by a parent or guardian.
1.3 By registering and taking part in the event, you confirm you are in good health and are solely responsible for your participation, including any injury or illness sustained. Greenpeace is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or illness arising from your involvement.
1.4 You are responsible for wearing appropriate attire and having necessary protection, considering weather and terrain. For your safety, we recommend exercising during daylight hours, informing someone of your route, carrying a mobile phone, and checking weather forecasts to avoid extreme conditions.
1.5 Be mindful of traffic and carry fluids and snacks for longer activities. The use of illegal substances or alcohol during the event is strictly prohibited.
2. Fundraising
2.1 All online donations must be received through your fundraising page, hosted by Funraisin (this platform).
2.2 You agree not to incur any cost, claim, loss, or liability on behalf of Greenpeace.
2.3 You agree to contact Greenpeace before conducting any raffle, lottery, or public event, and comply with any guidance, guidelines or insurance and legal requirements issued by Greenpeace in connection with this kind of event.
3. Welcome Pack
3.1 To receive a welcome pack and T-shirt, you must provide a valid postal address in the United Kingdom. Greenpeace will not mail welcome packs or T-shirts outside of the UK and Ireland.
3.2 Each participant that opts to receive a welcome pack and/or T-Shirt when signing up to the challenge and raises £10 by 23:59 on Friday 31st October 2025 will be eligible to receive a fundraising guide and My Favourite Place t-shirt in the post.
3.3 The fundraising guide will be sent via second class post to the address you provide upon signing up to the challenge, unless you update us otherwise before your pack has been mailed.
3.4 Greenpeace accepts no responsibility for any welcome packs and their contents which are lost, damaged or delayed in the post. We can only send out a replacement pack if we have one in stock and at our own discretion, and if we are notified before 23:59 on Friday 31st October.
3.5 The welcome pack and its contents are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
3.6 Greenpeace reserves the right to replace the welcome pack and its contents with an alternative of equal value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so.
4. Cancellation
4.1 Refunds are not available for your self-donation or the challenge event T-shirt and fundraising guide.
4.2 If you cancel your participation in the challenge event any money raised will be retained as a donation. If you wish to refund your donors in this instance, you must ask your individual donors to make a written request to Greenpeace, as they will need to be refunded directly, with the exception of anonymous donations that are unable to be refunded.
5. Privacy
5.1 Greenpeace will process the data it receives when individuals register for the event, in accordance with the privacy notice provided on registration.
6. Variations
6.1 Greenpeace reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions as required.
6.2 Greenpeace reserves the right to amend any dates which are advertised in relation to the event, as required.
These terms and conditions, and any disputes between you and Greenpeace in relation to the event, shall be governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
