31 Miles for Nature

I’m moving 31 Miles for Nature to raise £150 for Greenpeace - can you sponsor me?

Our favourite places in nature are under threat from climate change, habitat loss and pollution. We need to act now to save them. That's why I've decided to move at least 31 Miles for Nature this October and raise £150 for Greenpeace.

With a fifty year history of defending nature, Greenpeace's mission is to create a greener, healthier, and more peaceful planet. Any donation you make could help power their campaigns to keep our oceans healthy, our forests standing, and fossil fuels in the ground.

Greenpeace never accepts money from companies or governments, so they depend on supporters, like us, to fund all of their campaigns.

Please sponsor me today and help me reach my £150 goal. Thank you!

My Updates

A Sunday walk to the banks of the Mersey

Monday 6th Oct
After a walk around Port Sunlight visited a remarkable transformation from landfill to a place of natural beauty.

Day four

Sunday 5th Oct
No activity today but heading to the North-West in search of some more favourite nature places.

Day three-Stormy weather arrives

Saturday 4th Oct
Collected repaired bike and, as it would be rude not to test it out, ventured into the wind and rain to another local favourite place. Okay it was only 6.5 miles but you don’t have to go far around here to find places of beauty!

2nd day- no bike

Thursday 2nd Oct
Forced to take my dodgy knees for a walk as my bike is out of action. Visited some other favourite places along the River.

Making a start

Thursday 2nd Oct
Although 31 miles isn’t a lot October isn’t the best month as being away reduces opportunities for cycling activity. However the great weather continues, for today anyway, so it felt important to tick a few miles off. 9.8 miles done and then lunch at Cafe 360 in Bovey. Pleased to spot a heron on the Templer Way too. A great start to fundraising for nature.
Lucky I spotted that I need a new back tyre before I got an inconvenient puncture. Bike will therefore be out of action for a day or two.
