31 Miles for Nature

I’m moving 31 Miles for Nature to raise £150 for Greenpeace - can you sponsor me?

If you’re into saving the planet and keeping it in good shape for our kids and all that, I reckon this all helps .

As a bit of a muesli-knitting treehugger, I love the work Greenpeace do, so grateful for the opportunity to help raise a little bit of money while taking on a bit of a challenge.

I’m currently very out of shape, having been mostly off-road with a two month ankle injury, and not done more than 5km at a time in yonks, so  31 miles (50km) is something I’m going to have to work towards. Eeeek.

Aiming to raise £150 so any quids you might find down the back of the sofa will help us get there - thank you!

As Greenpeace say:

Our favourite places in nature are under threat from climate change, habitat loss and pollution. We need to act now to save them. That's why I've decided to move 31 Miles for Nature this October and raise £150 for Greenpeace.

With a fifty year history of defending nature, Greenpeace's mission is to create a greener, healthier, and more peaceful planet. Any donation you make could help power their campaigns to keep our oceans healthy, our forests standing, and fossil fuels in the ground.

Greenpeace never accepts money from companies or governments, so they depend on supporters, like us, to fund all of their campaigns.

So if you are in a position to, and love this planet like this old muesli-knitting freak, please do  sponsor me today and help me reach my £150 goal. Thank you!

Another three miles in

Saturday 18th Oct
Trying to get this 31 miles wrapped before my knees fall over. Another three miles today, on top of the 26 last week. Two to go - which is basically a sprint finish, right?

26 miles done

Saturday 18th Oct
Don’t like to draw these things out, so got 26 miles wrapped at the Bristol & Bath Marathon (good) though I strongly suspect my knees have exploded (not so good) - the last five miles might be a crawl!

Green is good!

Good luck Graham! Great charity - have had a DD with them since I was a teen and watched them on news trying to stop barbaric seal clubbing. They may not get the headlines these days but work away diligently in the background. Take care of those knees, and go, Graham! Fellow Womble and tree-hugger 💙💛
