Chip in to help power Greenpeace campaigns
Like many of us, protecting the planet and fighting for climate justice are both extremely important to me. However, we are seeing a barrage of disinformation, weakening of key climate regulations, aggressive corporate lobbying and, above all, a dangerous political landscape filled with climate deniers and far-right extremists.
I am setting up this page to raise money for Greenpeace who have 50 years of history in this fight! Greenpeace relies on individual people like you and me to fund their work. To protect their independence, they don’t take any money from governments or corporations.
In the last 12 months, Greenpeace work includes:
✅ Greenpeace's investigative arm, Unearthed, reveals that major brands continued to promote environmental claims after they were ruled 'misleading' by the UK advertising watchdog.
✅ Launched Big Plastic Week 2024 to track household plastic usage across the UK. By participating in the survey, we calculated that my family's household uses over 11,000 pieces of plastic a year with over 70% either incinerated or landfilled!
✅ Shell backs down on its strategic $8m SLAPP lawsuit against Greenpeace after activists peacefully occupied a moving Shell oil platform.
✅ Arctic deep sea mining plans stopped in Norway.
✅ With the help of Greenpeace Switzerland, the Court found that Switzerland has failed to comply with the duties under the Geneva Convention concerning climate change and now must adjust its current climate targets based on science.
At such a critical time for our planet, Greenpeace needs our support more than ever.
