31 Miles for Nature

I’m moving 31 Miles for Nature to raise £150 for Greenpeace - can you sponsor me?

Our favourite places in nature are under threat from climate change, habitat loss and pollution. We need to act now to save them. That's why I've decided to move 31 Miles for Nature this October and raise £150 for Greenpeace.

With a fifty year history of defending nature, Greenpeace's mission is to create a greener, healthier, and more peaceful planet. Any donation you make could help power their campaigns to keep our oceans healthy, our forests standing, and fossil fuels in the ground.

Greenpeace never accepts money from companies or governments, so they depend on supporters, like us, to fund all of their campaigns.

Please sponsor me today and help me reach my £150 goal. Thank you!

My Updates

A drizzle day walk

Sunday 19th Oct
A slow walk  again; this time not because of little grandchildren, but because of walking with my daughter who is 38 weeks pregnant; exciting!
So plenty of time to enjoy the colours, the rain and other people strolling in Leamington.

Crows are very clever birds

Thursday 16th Oct
Looking after a little grandson in Oxford today. I love walking with little ones. We can stop to look at something whenever we want! Today my little grandson was soooo happy to stop for 5 minutes to watch 2 crows in somebody's garden. Adults get impatient with me; my grandchildren? Never! And they love chatting about the amazing things we see.

Nana plus 2 pairs of little legs

Tuesday 14th Oct
An extra enjoyable walk along the lane, as I was with 2 of my delightful grandchildren. Even more to stop and look at when you have observant eyes much nearer the ground. We particularly enjoyed moss, lichen and fungus today!

Who doesn't love Autumn!?

Sunday 12th Oct
Another slow local walk just up the lane, along the old railway track and across the fields. I so enjoy exploring new places, but my favourite place to explore and enjoy is my local place. So much to see. So much change to watch these days.
I am feeling rather pleased with myself, as I walked through the bullock field today!! If you know me you will be impressed!

More strolls

Friday 10th Oct
So, bit confusing; seaweed photos from Islay alongside photos of our beautiful countryside around Charwelton!

Just worked out how to do this!!

Thursday 9th Oct
Actually my pal showed me as I wasn't sure how I had done that first blog!
I have been walking you'll be pleased to know.
My latest miles have been on beautiful Islay. Which has been very windy post Storm Amy. It's been wonderful!
Heading home today when there will be more walks in beautiful Northamtonshire countryside.
Will be much better at telling you stuff!

Amanda's Rambles

Wednesday 1st Oct
So, here we are! Beautiful October, following beautiful September, and the question is; where will I ramble today?
I'll let you know. Wherever I go, it will be slow, there is soooooomuch to see!
